If Dinosaurs: Sketch p2-3

So this is part of what has been taking up so much of my time lately... My semester project for Children's Book Illustration. We're taking one pre-existing children's book, and doing illustrations for it.

I chose If Dinosaurs Were Cats and Dogs, which was one of my favorites books growing up. (This is the 1981 version, as I'm informed they've made a new edition, which is not as good.)

I had critique on the original sketches about a week ago, but probably won't be posting those, unless people are really interested. These are the revised sketches; fully redone and with much more detailed shading. They are also, obviously, altered a bit digitally and overlaid on an old paper texture. The color will be simulated "ink washes" in digital. The idea is to replicate an old travel or sketch journal.

I'm not doing these in order, so they'll probably be a bit jumbled for awhile. But I really liked the way the sepia tone looked without the color, so I thought I would put them up instead of just having the final product.
